Music Scholarships and Grants Opportunities

The Elnora Hartman Stickley Scholarship Fund is administered by the Trust Department of 1st Source Bank. Grants are awarded for collegiate as well as non-collegiate music study and activities. The Scholarship Board accepts applications for undergraduate collegiate music scholarships from high school seniors in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties. Scholarships are for undergraduate students pursuing a major or minor degree in music at an accredited college or university. Recipients must have established permanent residency within St. Joseph or Elkhart counties, or be a student of a member of the South Bend Area Music Teachers Association. The collegiate application deadline is the third Friday in January.

Applications for non-collegiate grants are accepted four times per year. Non-collegiate grants are awarded for activities such as teacher enrichment and continuing education, performance competition underwriting, student attendance at summer camps, and educational outreach for the community.  For more information, please refer to the applications on this website or contact 1st Source Bank’s Trust Department.

Applicants are responsible for knowing application deadline dates. Each application has a different deadline, and the deadline dates are firm. Application deadline for the college scholarships is the third Friday in January.
